These reports are then verified and consolidated into comprehensive alerts, which are conveniently accessible online, through social media channels, and via our dedicated app.
The primary focus of the EDCC is to enhance and preserve the health of horses throughout North America. Timely information concerning infectious disease alerts, quarantines, and regulations plays a pivotal role in assisting horse owners in safeguarding the well-being of their animals.
Infectious disease alerts can have far-reaching consequences on the local economy, potentially leading to significant revenue losses due to factors such as horse fatalities, quarantine measures, event cancellations, resources allocated to manage outbreaks, and restricted horse movements.
